The Founding of SJF Writing
“Savannah, could you clean this up for me?”
Working in a corporate environment showed me the need for a literary service in northern Alabama. I joined my company as the Administrative Assistant to the President, and soon gained a reputation for being the go-to girl for document clean-up.
Being literary-inclined (I wrote my first novel at age 14, and by 18 had written four more and signed with the Bradford Literary Agency), I know what looks and sounds professional, with the ability to say it at any level of diction, from highly technical jargon to ‘everyman speak’.
Many people rely on their speaking skills and personal interaction to communicate. However, what makes sense and flows well when spoken can seem stunted, distracted, or fragemented when written down. Additionally, it’s like my mother always told me, “It’s not what you say but how you say it.” We’ve all encountered that situation where a harmless comment meant in a light or friendly tone was badly misinterpreted as rude or uncaring.
This is where I come in. I want to ‘clean up’ your text and make it as professional and clearly-stated as possible, with the exact tone you want to convey.
Beyond proof-reading, my writing talent can offer you the rare and valuable opportunity of someone to help guide you in that creative project you’ve been meaning to get started on for years. If you’ve ever wanted to tell your story in the form of an autobiography, or write that Great American novel or even a children’s book, I’m here to help you make that dream happen.
I also have experience with Newsletters, speeches, MLA formatting, and directional guidance for practically any writing project you can come up with.
SJF Writing is here to offer solutions for your literary needs. I am here to work with you as closely as needed to make sure your own, unique voice comes through whichever project you’re working on.
Thank you to my current Clients, and hello to potential ones. I look forward to working with you soon.
